Are you tired of feeling like marketing your nutrition practice means shouting into the void of social media?
...or trying to “sell yourself” in ways that just don’t feel aligned?
Whether you’re a private pay or insurance-based practice, it’s no longer enough to be good at what you do or "build it and they will come". Clients need to find you—and trust you—before they ever book a session.
But here’s the good news: You don’t need a big ad budget, a viral reel, or fancy funnels to build a thriving practice.
You need relationships.
Join us for a live workshop that will show you how to build a sustainable, referral-based practice using the power of relationship marketing.
We’ll show you how to connect with aligned clients, collaborate with other professionals, and create systems that keep your practice growing while staying grounded in your values.
The Workshop Covers:
- Why relationship marketing is a MUST for your nutrition private practice
- Connecting with other providers (including sample email and phone templates!)
- How to build meaningful and authentic relationships with doctors, therapists, and community partners
- Turning relationships into referrals
- Leveraging current and past clients
- Utilizing your community
- Collaboration over competition
- How to reach out and follow up authentically (that doesn't feel salesy or icky)
- Setting up sustainable systems for following up and staying top-of-mind
The Workshop Is For Your If:
- You’re a dietitian or clinician in private practice (or are planning to open one soon)
- You feel overwhelmed or unsure about how to “market” yourself
- You’d rather build relationships than run ads
- You want to attract clients who feel aligned with your approach and values
- You’re looking for a sustainable, people-centered way to grow your nutrition practice

Alissa Rumsey, MS, RD, CDN, CSCS (she/her)
Hi! I'm Alissa Rumsey (she/her), a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and the author of Unapologetic Eating. I'm also a business coach and clinical supervisor for dietitians and clinicians.
I've been a dietitian for over 15 years and a private practice owner for the past decade. I am passionate about supporting dietitians and clinicians so that you can confidently start and grow your business and deepen your counseling skills, while also taking care of yourself.
I am the founder of Rumsey Nutrition Consulting, a weight-inclusive nutrition practice that offers virtual counseling, group programs, and online trainings to support people in cultivating a peaceful relationship to food and their bodies so they can live a more authentic, connected life.
Through The Liberated Clinician Business Trainings, I offer coaching, courses, programs, and online resources to help dietitians and clinicians start, build, and grow their nutrition private practices.
I love to work with other health professionals so that we can challenge the 'status quo' in nutrition care and in business. Let's reframe what is possible as clinicians – and do it together.
