Thinking of becoming an in-network insurance provider, but don't know where to start - or aren't sure if it's right for you and your business?
Join Alissa Rumsey, MS, RD, CDN and Jasmine Hormati, MS, RD, CDN for a dynamic 1-hour workshop that will walk you through the pros and cons of accepting insurance and considerations that may affect your decision.
The workshop will guide you through the decision-making process, and help you decide which business model works best for you.
Should you DIY it and credential yourself?
Or work with a platform like Nourish, Berry Street, or Fay?
Or hire someone to credential your business for you?Â
It will also cover the pre-credentialing process, deciding what insurance companies to credential with, and a checklist that walks you through the credentialing process steps.

Alissa Rumsey, MS, RD, CDN, CSCS
Hi! I'm Alissa Rumsey (she/her), a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and the author of Unapologetic Eating. I'm also a business coach and clinical supervisor for dietitians and clinicians.
I've been a dietitian for over 16 years and a business owner for the past decade. I am passionate about supporting dietitians and clinicians so that you can confidently start and grow your business and deepen your counseling skills, while also taking care of yourself.
Through The Liberated Clinician Business Trainings, I offer coaching, courses, programs, and online resources to help dietitians and clinicians start, build, and grow their nutrition private practices.
I love to work with other health professionals so that we can challenge the 'status quo' in nutrition care and in business. Let's reframe what is possible as clinicians – and do it together.
Jasmine Hormati, MS, RD, CDN
Hi there, I'm Jasmine! I'm the owner of Mendinground Nutrition, an insurance-based group private practice in New York City that specializes in eating disorders and disordered eating recovery, and body image work.
I am also the co-creator of the Insurance Credentialing and Billing Course for RDs and I co-facilitate The Liberated Clinician Group Program with Alissa.
I love talking shop with other dietitians and helping them with their practices, whether that's building systems to streamline their work, working through time management sticking points, or supporting them through all things insurance credentialing and billing.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and my Master of Science in Nutrition and Public Health from Teachers College, Columbia University.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking/baking, and playing board games.
